‘Air’ means sky and ‘Vistara’ means expansion, the Air Vistara named himself very beautifully and cleverly which means the expansion in the sky.
The Vistara airlines is a low cost carrier founded in 2013, operated its operation in January 9, this year, situated in New Delhi. It is a joint venture of TATA’s and Singpore airlines, TATA group owned 51 percent shares in this airline and the remaining 49 percent shares owned by Singapore airlines. Currently Vistara roaming domestically only, it has 6 aircraft in his fleet and it is operated across 10 cities with a frequency of 35 flights daily between these cities.
It is the first airlines in India to offer premium economy class in any airplane which means that it offers Business class, Premium economy class and economy class to its passengers where all the other airlines offers Business and economy class only. Air Vistara is a full service airline that means customers won’t have to pay extra for consuming food or water during their journey.
With the launching of Vistara, TATA’s once again come back in the airline field after 6 decades as Tata airlines was nationalised and renamed as Air India in 1946. At present, Air Vistara becomes the third full service airlines after Air India and Jet airways but as the aviation sector will be downgraded day by day and after the Kingfisher airlines went broke, expectancy of Indian customers to Vistara become increased very much.
